Meagan, Caitlin and I headed out the door after a relaxing morning enjoying the sun as we overlooked the water. We could tell it was going to be windy based on the whitecaps and it was as we headed out the door shortly after 10 AM. We headed out on West Shore and then linked up to the trail to head out toward Salem. The loop brought us back into town and out to Swampscott (lovely town, ugly name).
I wish I knew the neighborhoods and side roads a little better because we had to stick to some of the busier streets. The wind was obnoxious for the first half of the run until we found the beach that took us back to the town line between Marblehead and Swampscott just down the street from the Karhu CEO's house. We hopped back on the trail and headed straight back to the fort for some stretching and strengthening.
