On the drive in to Charlotte this morning all the buzz was about the weather. Sounds like Meagan and I arrived just in time for the hottest weather of the year. Excellent. The temps this afternoon approached the triple digits which meant our run didn't start until well after dinner time.
The run started from Jeff's old, my new apartment here in the Queen City. My legs felt good running with Meagan along a creek to Freedom Park for a few loops. We also ran a few miles in the Myers Park neighborhood near the Queens University campus. The pace was dropping considerably and Meagan was right there the whole time until the last mile. Our splits were: 7:51, 7:19, 7:07, 7:06, 7:07, 7:05, 6:57, 6:40, 6:28.
