I had a nice recovery with Mr. Washburn this morning from his house up in Columbia Heights. We started off by dropping an 8:54 mile out the door. Owen's big Cherry Blossom performance had forced some tight hamstrings. I was happy to run slow and wander through the streets of DC eventually finding Rock Creek Park. We ran up some huge hill with a decent grade around mile four. The hill took us past a couple embassies which is always a refreshing reminder that Washington, DC is a city of international importance. It was good to catch up with a good friend and former teammate on the run.
