Pre-Race Tune Up

Time: 36:53
Distance: 5.25 miles

W/u: 15:34 for 2.13 miles
W/o: 1 mile of jog turns, stride straights
C/d: 15:15 for 2.12 miles

I ran over to the AG track this afternoon to see what my legs would feel like running a bit faster. I'll need to be able to run about 5 minute pace to be in contention for the win tomorrow and my muscles are still in a state of pain. I had a nice light jog over and then I ran a mile of hot/cold hundreds where you jog the turn and sprint/stride the straight. It took about 600m before I felt a little more fluid.

I ran 6:04 for the distance.

Tomorrow will be interesting.
