Day Off Perhaps

This morning I got up and checked my email while I was still in bed and noticed I got a comment from "weeman." He had some wise words of wisdom that were, "take a friggin day off!!!" Since I followed his wisdom once and chose to come to Brown (he's the lad who hosted me on my recruiting trip out east. I also think I was the only recruit that he hosted who chose to attend Brown), I figured I could do it again. I'm currently milling around Winan's on Main Street making sure things are feeling grand. My achilles is a little sore but I was half expecting that the first few steps out of bed were going to involve a limp which was not the case. The right side of my body is a touch sore, but nothing that I'm too concerned about. I'll be sure to massage and lightly stretch throughout the day.

mike (reading jokin's blog): jesus, jordan ran like a 8 billion miles this weekend.
pamella: huh?
mike: he literally ran 41 miles, 19 yesterday and 22 today.
pamella: what?!? that sounds like a lot. isn't he going to hurt himself? don't your legs just fall off at a certain point?
mike: hmmm, probably.

casual runners and has beens agree: your legs are going to fall off soon if you aren't careful.

You could join in on the fun at the ART clinic and have that hammy laced into a little next Tuesday, if you're so inclined.

telling jordan that he's stupid for running so many miles is like telling an anorexic girl that she already looks too thin. you're certainly right, but it just strokes the ego.

but hey, you gotta be thin to win, right?

i remember the good old days when i used to run 90 mpw and jordan used to sleep in until 9am before heading to work and refusing to eat all day. now i'm running less than him and still eating twice as much...sigh...
